Student Physical Therapy Association and the Churchill Wilkins Rotary Club

For the seventh year, the Student Physical Therapy Association collected Thanksgiving dinner food items to feed a family of 4-6.  The food items included: yams, green beans, corn, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, turkey gravy, fruit cocktail, jellied cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie filling and brownie mix.  The Churchill Wilkins Rotary Club purchased 50 turkeys from Kuhn’s Market on Beulah Road, with the ordering and pick-up coordinated by Dr. Mike Szoko, Churchill Vision and Laser Center, to complete the meal which resulted in feeding over 300 people.  More than 400 additional food items were collected during the food drive.  On November 13th, Dr. Norman Johnson, PTA Program Coordinator and Rotarian, Carol Stokes, PTA Program adjunct, and Mark Allston, Rotarian delivered the Thanksgiving Dinners and the additional food items to the Rainbow Kitchen Community Services in Homestead, PA for distribution.
